Joe Jonas has reportedly split from country star Taylor Swift before the couple even went public with the romance.

Jonas ended the five-month romance in a phone call, according to Us Weekly.

The teens never talked openly about their feelings for each other, but Swift, 18, confessed the Jonas Brothers pin-up was "an amazing guy and anyone would be lucky to be dating him" at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.
